My new rooster doesnt act like one

But I noticed his spurs and realized that he had none hes just really big. So hes young.

He's a baby still. Look at the spur nubs. Barely there. He couldn't be more than an month or two into his hormones. I'd estimate he's six months old, seven at the outside. Would anyone expect a fourteen year old boy to behave like a grown man with all the responsibilities of a family?

This youngster will find his way. He needs time and patience on your part. Being a rooster doesn't really begin until a cockerel has reached a year old. It can take another year after that for him to grow into the role of flock leader and protector.
 
Ok thanks. I noticed the spurs too. So i realized he was still really young. Thanks for again for all the info though.
