My new Silkie hen

She's simply adorable!

We have a cockerel with feet like those I think. Are the toes actually folding under her foot or are the toes curling to one side?

If they're curling to one side, then as a chick that hen had crooked toes. Thats how our rooster is. After he hatched he just so happened to be my favorite in coloring. He didn't have crooked toes when he hatched, but he developed them a couple days later. Unfortunately we didn't know how to fix crooked toes then. He's still alive and does fine eating, walking, roosting, and most other rooster behaviors. (I don't know about mating sine my parents didn't want to keep him in the flock because they thought his toes may be genetic, but crooked toes aren't genetic, are they?)

Anyway, she's super cute and she should easily be able to live a normal chicken life even with those cute little deformed feet

(I also think she looks like a partridge)
