I was afraid to let them in water at first but it is so hot here (98-103) and I felt so sorry for them. I put them out on grass and and put a pan of water in with them and they jumped right in. They had a ball. My husband cut a piece of wire and made a circle pen for them. I move it around to keep them on fresh grass and out of the sun.

No, they don't stay small very long at all!
 
I know they don't stay small for long. They have doubled in size since I got them on the 7th. I have a pilgrim gander that is 3 1/2 months old and he is big. I got these so he would have a mate. I wanted another pilgrim but I couldn't find one anywhere so I ordered the toulouse.
