My new "wish list" - comments please

Chick season is coming! I've told myself I can have no more than six new chicks this year. I'm thinking of the following; Dark Brahma, Jersey Black Giant, Speckled Sussex, Cuckoo Marans, Silver Spangled Hamburg, Black Australorp - I'd like any comments / opinions on these as they'll all be new to me.

What are your goals for your flock? How hot and cold does it get where you live?

I'm in SF Bay area. It gets hot here, but not too cold. My hen house is well shaded and they have a wet sandbox and lots of dirt during the summer. They free range and have access to the mister in the yard as well. Currently I have; three cochins, one buff brahma, a frizzle, two EE, a bantam silkie, a production red, a polish, a langshan, and a mutt.
