Hello! Soo my new chicken was bought yesterday but shes been acting oddly! (Shes really young (she is right???) but a smaller breed and is a female).
First i got to say shes alone for now , ill get her a friend in a few days!
Secondly shes been eating well, drinking well (I put acv in her water) and has normal poo (she had diarrhea when she came because of the bad conditions she was in.) Whats scarying me is that shes not moving much (sometimes she just stays in the same place and doesnt really bother to move) and seems very lost! She also has huge paws! Anyone have tips? (And yes ill get her a friend ASAP).

She looks healthy. What are you feeding her other than that leafy green thing?

She probably is confused and doesn't know what to do in a strange place. If you have a safe place outdoors where she can scratch in the soil, she would be happier, and she would be able to find grit for her gizzard which you will need to give her for digestion.

She appears to be around 10 to 12 weeks old.

First, thank you so much for your quick reply! And ive been feeding her corn and a rich meal with minerals!
Around the home she has a lot of space to scratch on (dirt) where she still doesnt dig much, but eats some seeds and wanders around, and she seemed a little more curious than yesterday when she came! Oh thats what i thought but I wasnt very sure :) thanks for clearing her age up

Are you able to get her some pullet grower feed? It'll have everything she needs and is better for her than corn. I'm not sure what's in that 'rich meal with minerals', but purpose made feed to supplement that would be great for her. At that age they need a high protein diet.

Ill buy that then, she does seem like she needs some strenght :)
The meal i give her is a mix of seeds but in the box it says its full of minerals and stuff

But is it formulated for chickens?
Where did you buy her?
