My nzw rabbit had 11 babys today

I have alays found my does to be excepting of me and my hands..

I regualraly moved babies around if one had a bunch or one had too few. Never had any problems, xept with a mini rex doe that was a new mom.. My biggest litter was 21, and I moved a bunch of them to some himalayan does that were with litters of 4 or 5.

I miss having rabbits. Congrats on your litter.. They are so much fun, and they taste yummy too!!

Wow, 11 that is great. I was wondering though how long will they take to grow out? I have two litters the last month and one doe had three and the other had 5. the three are definately BIGGER than the other 5.

There all still alive with a big tummy she is doing a great job. I bought her when she was 1 she has had 1 other litter with us and i handled the babys daily. I dont want to reach into the nest in a week's time and grab a dead rotting baby. I do a morning check every day. And trying to count 11 with out taking them out of the nestbox is hard lol. I think since there going on 3 days i might do an every other day check then after a week they should be easy to see though the cage wall. Now my other doe i have that im still waiting on babys from is down right mean. I had to clean her nestbox and she nearly bit me once. And attacked the nestbox. She is on the list to get rid of unless she has a good litter of babys. She is a first timer but i want to be able to check the babys and if she is going to attack me when i try then i wont keep her. Plus she is determined to make a nest on the wire. She has 2 nestboxs in there now and she is still nesting on the wire.

my jersey wooly girl (DWARf breed! ) had 11 babies too! I was like WOAH! and this is her first litter!
