My old lady cat has stopped eating and drinking *ANOTHER SAD UPDATE*

we have a 10-12 year old cat that i brought up here when I moved, she had been a stray, probably for YEARS, wasn't spayed, and had had several litters of kittens.

before I brought her here last year, my mom had brought her inside ALONG with an UN-NEUTERED tomcat, well, you can guess what happened, she got pregnant again, only we didn't know it until several weeks later, she had to have gotten pregnant within days before I moved, a little over 8 weeks later(kittens were a few days late) 5 kittens were born, 3,possibly 4 of those 5 kittens are now a year and 3 months old, 3 living here, and one of their brothers we "think" is living about 5 minutes up the road with a guy who found a black kitten about the same time Tyson went missing, the 5th kitten disappeared, probably a victim of a coyote or dog

and Jasmine, the mother is now spayed, and for the most part, fairly healthy, despite not being able to keep weight and having leg problems.

I am hoping all the best for your kitty!
I'm sure she's had a wonderful life with you.

How are things this morning? My heart breaks for you. I had to have my kitty put down at 18 years old. His kidneys failed , I had no choice. I loved him so much, but I could not watch him in so much pain.

I hope it doesn't come to this for you. Fifteen is a nice long life for a cat. I am sure she trusts you to do what is best for her. I like the idea of having it done at home. Where I live this isn't an option.

So, she made it through the night and I took her to see the vet this morning. The Dr. felt something in her belly which could be a tumor or just a blockage. She was very dehydrated and anemic. So they gave her an injection of fluids and a some liquid stuff to help move her digestive tracks and some iron for the anemia. She's resting comfortably in my bedroom. I'll be getting her some baby food to try and feed her later. Thanks everyone!
