Thought this survey may be interesting....at least I am hoping there are others in the same boat as me.
I am still waiting for my pullet Stormy to lay an egg. She is going on 32 weeks soon.......

What breed is your pullet? Some breeds mature faster than others.

I've got a D'Uccle pullet hatched 4-1-17 who hasn't laid yet. All the others from that batch began laying in the fall but they're other breeds. Then they all molted, quit laying, and all are laying again....except my little D'Uccle. Maybe because she's the lowest in the pecking order and everyone chases her away from the food bowls. However, I've been sneaking her high nutrition treats ...It's our secret. I'm hopeful she'll lay soon.

I got two pullets that were both six months old but a week apart. Now the leghorn pullet stella layed even the day after getting her an layed almost every day until she got bareback an I brought her in side but she just started laying again today and as for the other pullet my Sussex Susie she never laid I kept hoping and waiting but nothing. I figured she might be one of those odd rare chickens that never lay eggs for some reason. She has a funny personality an funny feet. But NOPE at 9months she finally started laying. But only for a couple weeks because it got so cold out for almost a month here in Maine freezing an below temps. But now I know she can lay an will start again once warmer weather hits. Your not a lone. Some just take longer. To me that just means more eggs in the feature I hope lol

She is a Blue Marans. She's really not enjoying the cold. I can tell she hates it more than the rest of the flock because she's always hunched and walking on one foot.
She is at the bottom of the pecking order, also. I sneak her extra protein as well. If she doesn't lay in the spring she is outta here.

I had one take about a year to lay an egg. Cream Legbar pullet. She was hatched in spring.

I had 2 still not laying at 40 weeks. Sadly one of them seemed to have a congenital abnormality with her reproductive system and she passed away last week, likely from complications. My other girl that wasn't laying is now 41 weeks and started laying 2 days ago. Finally!

I'm sorry to hear about your hen. 41 weeks... wow.. We're at 34 weeks now, and at this rate my guess will be late April, when it warms up. :th
So I might make it to 41 myself.
