My one yr old rooster

My husband just called to tell me about one of our roosters, Parsley.

He went into the coop to let them out. When he opened the door all of the chickens went out except for Parsley. He was nested down in the wood chips sitting very still. Then he started to move almost like he was a convulsion. When my husband went to pick him, Parsley stood up and walked outside and is now acting fine.

What the heck?!

Almost sounds like he was trying to dirt bath in the wood shavings. When I saw our chickens doing that the 1st time - I just knew they were dieing! Really made them mad when I kept running out to check them and interrupting their bathing!

Hope it is something simple like that with your Roo!

LOL, I never even thought of that! How stupid of me. I guess just the way he told me about it got me scared. duh!
