My order from Cackle arrived early!!!

They were just sent out yesterday and I got a call this afternoon from the Post Office. Of course, not 10 mins after I got home from work, could have picked them up on the way home. So I jumped back in the car and headed back to town.
They sent me one extra turkey, so I have 3, but that was the only extras I got this time. I am hoping the turkeys turn out to be Naragansettes, but will probably end up with BBB (what I got last time, these look the same, but the poults look very similar)

The "brown egg laying" chicks are not the BO's like I got last time but these: (Black Sex-link?)

In my "10 assorted rare breed" chicks I think I got 6 EE's! I really wanted to get some, so I'm happy with that.I had hoped for more variety, but maybe more of them will be girls!

then there are these 4. I think they are all the same kind, although a couple of them seem to have some tan on their back. (maybe Partridge Cochins?) Whatever they are they have feathered feets!

This is the female of the pair of geese. Any guesses?

And the female duck. (Rouen?)

Thay all seem to be healthy, running around, no weak ones so far. I guess they were lucky, only about 24 hrs from hatch to home!

That looks like a white chinese goose and either a mallard or rouen.

the duck is either a mallard or a rouen, and those black chicks look a lot like my black jersey giants, which I just got from Meyer last week. Here is a pic:

When I knew they would be here just before Easter, I asked if I could bring them in. After I bring them home tomorrow, the ducks and geese will go in this brooder and all the chicks and turkeys will go in the big one.

Looks like the JG chick has a lot more light colored spots. These are almost all black except the male which has a yellow spot on top of his head

that's great that you can take them in to the school with you. the kids are going to love them!

yes, our black jersey giants have light-colored bellies and are white under their chins. I didn't realize yours were nearly all black since they appeared to have white chests and perhaps bellies in the photos. they definitely sound like sex links. those are supposed to be very hardy and good layers.
