my pair of phoenix's door got open,they came out,and it was pouring...

are they like other chickens? meaning will they preen themselves and get dry and there feathers will be normal and long again?

there muddy and soaked. i really hope they get all pretty again. please help me out.

If they are already still soaking wet and muddy, then it may not hurt to wash the mud out of their feathers and let them dry off in their coop.

Thats true, sorry i did not read the muddy part, yea clean off the mud, if not that can cause breakage of the feathers.
 
Just there legs are muddy though. Sorry. I did get the mud off of them. They look better now. There getting dry.

yep lcw, if you are keeping yours in that big closed in barn thing that you had in all the pics when you first got them, at little rain may be good for them to keep their feathers from getting too dry from being closed up in the coop.

i shut them in a little over 2-3 hours ago. well see how they are in the morning. im sure theyll be fine but i read somewhere that phoenixs should never get there feathers wet. it will destroy them.

but i see it is somewhat good for them. ok. thanks everyone.
