my Pair's of chickens

so I plan on pairing up my birds to breed on Saturday but I was wondering which I should do first cuz I can't decide. what ya think? I also have some smaller pens for the silkies + d'uccles so may separate them in those.

I want to get more lacing on my BLR's, I would like to see what the silkies make, I would like to create more show stock from my d'uccles, and my crossbred boy I would like to have some of his offspring to show.

Photos of the breeders might be helpful in lending an opinion. There's no point in breeding a mutt to "some hens" in the hopes you'll produce something you can show. The offspring will not be a recognized breed or variety and thus are ineligible to be shown at any APA/ABA sanctioned show.

Regarding the Silkies, they are two different varieties, so there's not much point in crossing them together.

The Porcelain d'Uccle will at least breed true so breeding them produces birds that can be shown or sold as a pure breed.

The Blue-laced Red Wyandottes? You can't improve lacing if you don't have birds that can improve the lacing. Pictures would be needed to determine whether that is a feasible goal or not.

Are you wanting to show on real shows or in a 4H/FFA fair? Colt is right that mutts won't work in real shows. Some 4H/FFA fairs allow mutts, some don't

You'll have to ask your poultry chairman if mixes are allowed or not. Some do, some only allow recognized breeds or birds from specific sources.
