I am currently taking art in high school, so here are some of pieces of peafowl.

This is a mixed media. I did not have a reference image, I just used my imagination! The corona feathers are actually from a peahen, because that was the best deal I could find on eBay at the time. I was assigned this, and I did not really like it...so this is probably my first and last mixed media. It was done last year.

Here is a drawing in pencil of one of last year's hatch Pied Peachicks. I completed it this year. The reference image was photoshopped to have extreme lights and darks, which was the point of the project. I prefer pencil drawings.

I am welcome to any critiques! Please do not use these pictures without my permission, which is why they are watermarked. Please check out the link in my signature for prints of my artwork for sale.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you very much! I have not gotten around to putting the link in my signature but hopefully it will be done by the end of the day.

Thanks. Like I said, I do not like the projects that I had to do like mixed media and sculpture. I prefer pencil or colored pencil, since that is always my best work and I actually enjoy it!

Have you worked with charcoal? My first semester of college I took Drawing 1 and we worked mainly with charcoal. It can be pretty fun to work with. We would use willow branch charcoal.

Have you also tried doing collages? It is fun going through magazines and cutting out shapes to make a picture! I like using National Geographic magazines for that.

I really do love your pencil work!

I have never worked with charcoal. I believe that I will do charcoal projects in like 2 years, possibly this upcoming school year. Maybe I could get some and try to do some sketches with it. I have never done a collage. The closest possibly thing I have done was my mixed media. And thanks, I will probably stick to pencil.
