LOL he must do very well on the diet I have him on or something.. He never makes any noise or struts though ?? Why?

LMEggs: I am guessing that even though he is really mature looking, he still won't make noise until he is three...Just a guess so see what DMFarm has to say or someone else because I am not 100% sure.

Good questions on genetics and feeding ? Is the good tail due to feeding ? My hen makes noises! so must be his young age.

Some males do get longer trains at 2 yr olds, depend on hatch date ,early hatch, but have seen male hatch at the same time, fed the same food have different size trains.

Remember yearling male start getting their feather late summer thru fall.

Give away on your age is he still has white area in his shoulders/back.

We have had yearlings with trains before also some 3 yr olds without, Guessing I would say right diet, etc.... more then likely this is a early 09 hatch bird. When he becomes breeder age he will start with the loud noises.

What kind of feed are you feeding your Peafowl???
