My lovely peahen, Anastasia, has lost her crest. Not sure what happened and am wondering if this just happens from time to time and if will grow back. Does anyone out there have any experience with this problem?

They will grow back once the other birds quit pecking them out.We noticed our not yet 1 year old peahen also lost her head crest feathers. Is this something to be concerned about or not?
Anything is possible but part of their behavior is to preen each other and losing crest feathers can be part of over-preening.They got spooked the other day and she flew away from the house (our house is surrounded by trees). I went looking for her immediately and found her not too long after. Wonder if she caught them on some branches? She and the male are quite bonded so wondering if he would have done that?
