Hello- I have a Pekin Duck that I just noticed a few days ago that was limping. Today it won’t put any weight on the right foot. It will walk but it limps. If it is just standing it holds the leg up. I checked both feet. They look the same to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ this Pekin Duck is a lot larger than the other Pekin Duck I have. Eating drinking swimming everything is normal. I didn’t notice anything in its foot (i also don’t know their genders if someone is able to help that would be great too😁) the one that is limping is double the size of the other one. Any idea of what maybe wrong or what to do or signs of anything or what to look for or check? I attached 2 pics of the foot if they are clear enough shots for anyone to see Thanks!

they are currently hanging in the shade on the screened in patio where they love 😍🤣

How old? Any time there’s limping in a Pekin we think of 2 things injury or niacin deficiency.

both feet are hot in both ducks and also their beaks. They’ve always been warm to the touch. The other duck is 100% fine. They are on the Mazuri starter. They are about 13 weeks old roughly (boy do they look way older 🤣)I got them March 18th and they were roughly 1-2 weeks old when I bought them. So 13-14 weeks. The large one had a leg issue when it was a baby I put hobbles in it fixed the legs 100%. Been great ever since.Noticed a few days ago a limp and then today I noticed it holds the leg up when standing. This is the bottom of the foot she holds up. There is a small booboo but it looks more so of healing than open.Doesn’t show any signs of pain if I touch the pad of the foot or the sore. I have touched the leg doesn’t show any signs on pain touching it when I do.

No. Doesn’t seem to show any sign of pain. I pressed on all the toes and everything on the foot didn’t move or show any sign of anything hurting

I did the bending motion also and doesn’t show any sign of them or that specific toe hurting

She seems to just hold up at the heal maybe ??
