My Pet Chicken - All-Female Assortment 25-Pack

My husband ordered the same thing I think (well, maybe...) He got the 25 mixed pullets and the 25 BR pullets from MPC like 2 weeks ago - They were shipped and arrived here in TX by Wednesday. we have already rehomed all the BR though - the mix we have decided to wait a little while on to figure out what they are.

Just FYI...not saying it was MPC, but the BR didn't do too great. IDK what it was...just saying...on the bright side though- IF you got the 25 surprise babies - LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!!! I am SOOOOO curious and not having any luck figuring it out with these ladies yet! It is kinda fun, though I coulda killed him for ordering more chicks at the time! IF you got 25 of something else....WAITING ON PICS!

Babies really are fun!

My PO delivered them to my home so I didn't have to run and pick mine up which surprised me. It was funny, they did call ahead of time to make sure someone would be home....they started the call off by saying "I have a bunch of friends down there waiting to see me"

Hi Downshifting! I'm right down US1 from you in Franklinton. I didn't get a MPC assortment but I did get mine from McMurray this Monday - Memorial Day! I got the call at 8am and ran down to the US Postal Distribution Center off Glenwood Ave to get them. 27 happy, healthy pullets. My one 'exotic mystery chick' seems to be a white polish.

I got barred rocks, white rocks, EEs, partridge rocks, buff orps, SLW, marans, an assortment!

OK all of you!!! For those of us limited to the numbers we can have....where are your pictures!!????? Don't you know we can't live vicariously through your babies if you don't let us see them.

No call from the PO this morning, but I had that niggling feeling and went home at lunchtime JUST IN CASE. So glad I did because lo-and-behold, there is a peeping box on my front stoop! There was one DOA in the box, but the others seem to be healthy. They are drinking, eating, and pooping...and crawling all over each other. I tell you...watching baby chick antics is better than anything on TV! This is a mystery box of 25 pullets from MPC...it was $47.50 and shipping was FREE!

I will post more individual pictures when they slow down enough for me to photograph them. They were just too busy drinking and eating, so I just took a couple of group shots.

There are supposed to be 5 different varieties. So far...I count 5 of the little yellow puff-balls, 2 of the little orange puff-balls, 4 of the black and yellow puff-balls, and a boat-load of the brown ones with the stripes down their backs.

I'm already smitten!

I got 27 turken pullets on Monday May 31st from McMurray hatchery. I lost one that got trampled but they didn't feel cold and was so energetic when I took them out of the box. They are so cute
