My Pet Chicken?? ordering chicks?

I wondered the same thing, but before I could get around to calling and asking, I got another email with a confirmed ship date!

I can't say enough good things about Meyer Hatchery. After a confusing experience (and cancelling an order) with another hatchery, I called them. I was kinda chomping at the bit to have chicks and told them so. They basically said, "This is what we can get you next week." I ordered a "Rainbow Pullet Pack" and some Silkies & Polish. They shipped 32 on an order for 30. I ended up with 30 really cute babies, very healthy. My chicks appear to represent at least 8 different breeds. I am very excited to watch them grow & find out what they are.

I agree my chicks are beautiful and seem so healthy!

Chicks can't live without them!

I ordered from MPC last year and they did not send an extra chick. It may have been because they shipped in August, so it was hot enough. I ordered 12 sexed females, and had them all vaccinated. I got 2 SF and they did well shipping, and are very pretty birds. The one is my Avatar. All the chicks arrived happy and healthy, and all turned out to be hens. It did cost $85, but I think it was worth it.​

Six came from MPC on Monday. All were fine and the customer service on the phone was very good and helpful.

I ordered my chicks from them and though I have not received them yet. They were quick to answer all the questions I emailed to them (I'm new to chickens so I had a ton). They were very helpful and very personable.

Before you order chicks from a hatchery, see if you have a farmer nearby who can sell them to you. I have bought them both ways and would never trade buying chicks from a local farmer for anything.

I ordered 4 chicks from MPC. I liked the selection and that i could place a small order. One of my chicks got off to a slow start, when i called them they were very helpful and walked me through helping my little chick along. Now they are 2 1/2 weeks old and growing like weeds! I ordered pullets, not sure if they are at this point. I would order from them again though.
