my pet chicken reviews

@MyPetChicken Darn USPS my eggs prob won't arrive until Monday or Tuesday they were shipped on the 26th.
From OH they have gone to CA. Now I guess now on their way to Texas.so being they were shipped on the 26th probably collected on the 24th or earlier they will already be 8-10 days old plus shipping stressed. Then have to sit for 12 hrs prior to setting.

If you will send me a PM I'll let you know your options. I know that your order has been the topic of conversation among the upper management and we WILL make it right for you. I promise. :)

My Pet Chicken

I hope they get there soon and safe. So sad mine will most likely be old. I have 3 blue laced red wyandotts. 3 super blue layer 3 cream leg bars 3 easter eggers .
Thank you, sorry to hear about yours, that would be upsetting, fortunately MPC sounds like they will try to make it right, but now more waiting for you.

OK I PM'd Alex. I was really happy to see his reply to my post. Awaiting an answer. Although I do not blame my pet chicken in the least. This all USPS. This will only be my third hatch. So I'm a little dissappointed. But it is one of the downfalls of shipping eggs.

She is always nice and very helpful, wanted to point out the "she". Hopefully they more than make up to you for it even though it wasn't their fault. The PO can be hit and miss on deliveries.

My very first order of chicks from MPC ended up in South Carolina. I got the phone call from them to come pick them up, I explained I was in Wisconsin. MPC found a nice home for them there and sent me a new batch. MPC has the best costumer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Though the wait again for new eggs is gonna be nerve racking again for you.

I see some good ones there. I also subscribe to backyard poultry.

Wow!!!
So glad they are going to try to do right by you even tho it's not their fault. My chicks are supposed to ship out tomorrow.

I so wish UPS or FedEx would handle live shipments. There is no less reliable shipper than USPS. I live in northern WI and my daughter in northern ILL. I have sent priority packages to her and, no kidding, have had them take 10 DAYS to get there! Oh, it gets worse, one time I sent a 2 day priority Christmas present to the granddaughters and 14 days later it arrives back at our post office even tho it showed a stamp that it had clearly made it all the way to their post office and bore the correct address! (Our little post office was as upset as I was and re-sent it without charge.) On the other side of the coin, I have sent packages (the only way I send anything now) just regular UPS ground and often had the package arrive the very next day. Totally undamaged where many of the USPS packages I have sent/received often arrived with multiple footprints on them.

I so wish there were another carrier out there for our "precious cargo". I can only hope my little babies arrive in a reasonable timeframe and without suffering too much trauma.

OH, what have I DONE??? Since I didn't have much luck with hatching eggs (3 chicks out of 39 eggs) I just ordered some chicks from @MyPetChicken - again! It wasn't as much fun shopping there this time of year as I've had other times when almost all of the breeds were available.....out of my hatching eggs I really wanted the Cream Legbars, the Swedish Flower Hens, and the AmeriFlowers to hatch, but it wasn't to be. So I did mark that CL, SFH and any Marans would be okay as substitutions, but with the price difference in chicks I don't see that happening - and of course they're all sold out now anyway. I didn't even see AmeriFlowers listed, come to think of it.

Anyway, I have chicks being shipped on May 16th. By then the chicks that are out in the brooder will be ready to leave it, so they'll be evicted and the new ones moved in. Oh, what I have DONE???

I feel the same way, what did you order? How many? I got lots of schemes going too.

I ordered Silver Spangled Hamburgs, White Cochins (Katie's Cochin didn't hatch) Blue Andalusians, (and I know I spelled that wrong) Buckeyes, and Welsummers. I got two of each, so not a huge order, but a little variety anyway. Scheme sharing is always appropriate - hint hint!
