my pet chicken reviews

Well im not sure... both mine are supposed to be pullets. One is dark, one is light. I've heard they come in a wide assortment of colors. So maybe both your faverolles are girls

Only males get dark brown wing feathers, hens stay a reddish brown.

Females can range from a light pale beige to deep, dark salmon. Males are all over the place. They can initially look so light that you think they are pullets, they can be a mosaic of black, white and mahogany, or they can look like you think they should as miniature versions of an adult male. That's just the breeder birds. Hatcheries introduce other variables that make them harder to sex by coloration.

This is our SF hatched on May 9th. This one boggles me. She still has hardly any tail, but a very small comb. I also have a bantam EE from the same shipment that has to be a boy. But I can't report until 10-12 weeks old.
