Most hatcheries ship waterfowl from Metzer Farms, I think. But I could absolutely be wrong.

I did not have a good experience either a chick order from MPC. Waterfowl are less fragile, so it should be fine.

In my experience, it's usually the USPS that is the problem rather than the hatchery.

I've almost always had good experience with MPC. Ordered from them quite a few times. When I had chicks delivered, they were always 1-3 extra (incase some of them didn't survive the journey. None of them never arrived died though. I also got four cayuga ducklings from them. Three females, one male. All were sexed correctly. They also have a 3? minimum for standards instead of 6 or so. Only trouble I've ever had was with the eggs. All arrived intact and well packed but had a terrible hatch rate (that's what's to be expected from shipped eggs though). Again, gave me extra eggs incase any were damaged. Most of the time if you have problems, it's the postal peoples fault. Also love their "mystery chicks"!
