My Pet Chicken ???

Mine are almost 8 weeks old and doing great. I ordered from them because I could get a small number, and they sex bantams so I have 4 chicks and 4 bantams. My problem was that they messed up my order a bit as I was missing 1 buff chantecler and 1 EE. That being said if everyone turns out to be a girl I'm fine. I would use them again.

The shipping is high for a small number of chicks even if you order directly from Meyer (MPC's hatchery). I was just comparing the prices on the chicks yesterday and the price on the ones I looked at was exactly the same through Meyer and MPC.

The added benefit of ordering from MPC is that they sell sexed bantams. I am not sure why Meyer won't do that for individuals if they do it for MPC customers. At any rate, almost all of the reviews I have seen of MPC have been glowing.

Awesome experience. Shipping is high, but I was more then willing to pay it to not have to deal with extra chicks. The one problem we had was they sent an extra order of 15 chicks, which we weren't charged for. Oops! So much for no extra chicks!

).

I had a question about my order about a month ago, and emailed them. An actual human called me back in a couple of hours, and was really friendly and helpful. So far so good!

I have six 8 week old chicks that I ordered from MPC, they came to my local P.O. (we live between Hartford, Providence, Boston, and no need to go to major city)

VERY happy with MPC, all came healthy (one little chick was shaking, but after getting them food/water, they settled in). They are all still healthy and VERY alert/smart chicks...FUN!

Would most definitely use MPC again!

I love MPC. I started out ordering 17 week old mille fluer d'uccles, two roos and two hens. There was a small problem in the order, and they only sent one set. Called them, talked to a real live person and they immediately sent out the second set.

One week after that we had a raccoon attack and lost one of the hens. Because they were older chicks and I was left with one hen and two roosters I called MPC in a panic. Again, I was able to talk to a real, live person who was the sweetest lady in the world. She called the hatchery, explained the situation and they sent me out another hen (even though it was against policy to ship just one older chick). She arrived happy and healthy and has been wonderful.

Because I was so happy with their service and attention I wanted to place an order for some bantams, silkies and frizzles. Again I had to call them because I just couldn't figure out how to get everyone at one time. Unfortuantely the silkies had to ship two weeks before the frizzles, but as of right now, they are all here.

The silkies are almost three weeks old and of the 10 all are wonderfully healthy, happy and no losses. The frizzles are almost a week old, and again while they were teeny tiny when I got them, they are growing and thriving. All 10 have survived to the almost week point with not one problem. Very, very healthy chickies. They arrived with a heat pack and grow gel (?) and were in very good shape.

I would definitely use then again for any little chickie order I had.

I have ordered from them 3 times. First time I ordered 8, second was 5, and the third was 3. Every single one was sexed properly. They hatched/shipped on a Monday and I got them Tuesday in less than 24 hours after they left the hatchery. Never were they really hungry or thirsty when the arrived, as they have gro-gel in the box with them to eat/drink. MPC does use other hatcheries, but they schedule your shipment with them way in advance so it does not add any shipping time. All the birds are still alive and well. They have great customer service and will answer any question you have. I will use them every single time I need chicks.

I saw that nature's hatchery does a minimum of 2 chicks I think and you can call them and cutomize your order. They are out of IL.
