you are right about the disease! thank you so much, unfortunately, my pet turkey passed away today. I hope she did not suffer too much.I don't have turkeys, but it kind of looks like a pendulous crop that I've seen in chickens. It happens in older birds sometimes. The crop droops because of age and muscles that stretch out and lose their firmness. The crop doesn't empty properly, so you end up with recurring sour crop.
Google "pendulous crop turkey" and see 8f you think that fits what you're seeing.
For a chicken, I'd treat with yeast meds (like for yeast infections on women) by putting the cream directly in her beak 2x/day for 7 to 10 days. And then make a crop bra to help keep it from drooping so it can empty properly.
Might also be injury to her crop from her encounter with the fox. Can you inspect the crop area for posdible wounds?
