Hello there and welcome to BYC!

You might stop by the Polish thread and ask those Polish experts on how to trim the feathers out of the eyes...

Enjoy your cute Polish birds and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! X2 on TwoCrow's advice. I used to have some Golden Polish, but I never had to trim their crests. Good luck with your Polish.

Before you clip anything why not try to use a small rubber band to hold the crest back like a pony tail, just to see if it makes a difference with their sight. If not, the feathers are NOT the problem. Maybe they are having issues with their sight.

Good suggestion! I never had to do this myself, but I've known of other owners who used hair ties on the crests.

Welcome to BYC. Make sure that the feathers are mature (not blood or pin feathers), and then gradually trim a small bit at a time - there is no sensation in the feathers so you can not hurt the birds. Tying the crests up is also effective.

Good luck with your poultry raising adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know. Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! The learning center as well as the forum should answer your questions! There is always something new to learn! Glad to have you here! See you around with the flock.
