My 5 month old girls are pecking my guy, the center of his head & his tail-they were all raised together-I separated them totally, now separated within sight. Obviously can't have him bloodied. Have gooped him up with meds but nothing seems to stop the pecking. He's such a nice roo I don't want to lose him, but don't want to always keep separated either. Any ideas??

Sadly this sometimes happens in mixed flocks containing Polish. Are his tail and crest full of pin feathers? If so I would let them 'mature' and reintroduce him once he is fully feathered. A last resort might be the application of Pin Less Peepers to the worst peckers.

Is he the only Polish?...What's the protein percentage of the feed?
He is the only Polish-what was ordered was a Golden Wyandotte fem, he's what I got (love him, he is-was- gorgeous) Feed is 18%, just want to get him back healthy!

Several, but it seems to be the Columbians that are doing most of the damage. Have taken those 3 out & he's holding his own.
