Can someone please tell me...My 1 year old partridge rock is on the nest constantly. Everyday when I go to check on all them (which is usually about 3 times aday) she is on the nest, I put my hand under her and no eggs at any time. I got worried so I picked her up and set her out in the pen with the other chickens, but she just jumps back in the box. So one day I sit out there in the corneer of the coop and watch them...when my other chickens go in to lay she screchs and puffs up and snap at them.
Then last night I check on them for the last time for the day and all the other chickens are on the roost except her she is still in the nest. So I set her on the roost and she jumps down and intp the nest again.

Please Help Me!!!

Sounds like she's going broody on you! If you're looking to break that behavior, type in "broody" into the search bar and you'll come up with LOTS of info on it!
Good luck!

Yep she is in broody stage.Do you have any other hen's laying egg's that you might put a couple or few under her?My serama hen went through that stage once.It actualy took her a couple years to get things right and she even eventualy hatched a turkey egg I put under her at about age 3.She would probably set a few egg's sucessfully if you have some to give her.
