My poor chick! Found face down in duck pool tonight!!UPDATE

I don't know how long she's been there. But I always go out to check on them at dusk. And I noticed one missing. All then hens and roosters were there. So was the turkey and chicks. Except for one. Its getting dark....I run outside to see if she's alive. Maybe a predator or older aggresive chickens. I don't see her. Just before I give up thinking a predator got her I take a quick glance at the pool. And there she was. Motionless and face down.
I ripped open the entry and rushed in. Then I picked her up at the same time praying to God she was alive. And she looked up and cheeped! Hooray!!!

Sigh of relief...Now what. I took her into the house. And put her in the brooder under the heat lamp to warm up and dry off. She ate but sits still..She doesn't even take notice to the baby chicks surrounding her.
Will she be ok?

I don't really know, but keep her warm and give her supplements in her water. HOpefully, others who are more knowledgeable will answer.

well you did the right thing to bring her in and keep her warm. Did she show any signs that she had gotten water in her lungs? I suppose it just might take a while for her to recuperate. You might try giving her some sugar water only if she will drink it on her own.

Was it a chlorinated pool?

She should be. Take a soft cloth and fluff her up, get the circulation going, then leave her under your heat lamp to dry. I've had chicks do that too, and I have even gone so far as to drying them with a hairdryer...

If I have an incubator/hatcher going, I will try to pop them in there until they dry off, then return them to the brood with a swat on the butt.

Well. Its not a chlorinated pool. Its for my duck daisy.
I guess she just got tired of struggling and when the sun came down she decided to go to sleep....Under water!

Boy was I scared. But she did eat. I am not so sure water is something she would like right now. Will she be ok until morning?

when my momma hen hatched chicks i had this happen twice (befor i smartened up and emptied the pool untill the chicks got bigger) the first one i found in time and did just what you did and brought her in the house and dried her off and blew dried her with the blow dryer on low (she actually loved this) the second one i did not find in time and she drowned it made me so sad. Just keep her warm and keep an eye on her.

Sorry I couldn't log on until now..Busy morning. BUT PHEW!!What a relief!! She made it. I found her nice and toasty this morning. So I moved her to the cage in the kitchen. And later sent her back with her pals in the coop.
You couldn't even tell she had a problem yesterday. Thanks for all your concern.
