MY POOR DOG HAS A COUGH.

I breed Amrican Bulls (got 6). I had sort of the same issue with one that was a house dog and used to go on a tie out to get some fresh air while the kids were outside. I changed to a harniss (sp) when he was tied and (knock on wood) haven't had a problem with it since. We use (vet approved) children benadryl and baby asprins with ours and have for years. Good Luck!

Any idea what blood lines you have on him?

DS (he's 10) bought him for $10 last Thanksgiving weekend outside a WalMart. We have questioned his breed for sometime because he doesn't look like our neighbor's American who has the wide flattish face and is thick and stocky. Many people think he's pitt and lab mixed but he doesn't have the pitt ears which I've been told are a highly dominant trait. He's tall but not very thick. I'll try to post a picture, if I can get him to stay still.

A friend who also has an American said he looks like his dog and a lady at PetSmart who raises bully breeds also said it. She said this when he was younger and still had baby face. I can't say what he is but he's a doll - a chicken killing doll, but a love nonetheless.

Oh, BTW since we culled all the roosters, we were able to move the girls (and the 3 leftover roos) to their own yard again. The boys are now back in their run. NO MORE tie-outs! Hooray! I'm disinfecting their old dog house and moving it in this week. Winter is coming and even though this is Florida, it gets cold here.
