I have 3 Light Brahma hens and a rooster...I had a hen get ripped open behind her wing which I assumed has been caused by the rooster...It is taking a long time to heal up but we are making progress...I have washed it out with a Betadine/water solution and packed it with Neosporin....She is eating, drinking and still laying eggs in her crate (I have her inside)...She is happy as a clam!

I went out to the coop and I have yet another hen ripped open...Same place....I had taken the rooster out and cut and dremeled his nails but it doesn't seem to be working..

My question is does anyone on the forum make hen aprons to help protect these girls?...Also any suggestions would reallly be appreciated if anyone has had this problem and solved it!....Pretty soon they will all be inside and the coop will be empty

Your poor babies! I've seen the hen aprons on e-bay, you might wan t to check that out.

Just do a search on the site for "hen aprons". There are several posts which will help. I ordered one from one of the sites here which worked quite well, and once she got used to it, the hen didn't mind it at all.

There's even a post with directions on making one and there's no sewing required.
(https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=167) I'm getting ready to try this one, since I have several hens with partially bare backs and it's cold outside!
