Bless his heart! I have the same problem here with my four year old DD. It's hard to not hurt their feelings, yet you have to protect the babies. Tell him to hang in there! He'll be old enough before you know it to help out AND have a bator all his own.

I was thinking of getting him one of those dome bators, until I learned how big of a piece of garbage they are! I can't see a 4-year-old having an LG or hovabator!

He would have so many baby birds if he did! He wants to put every egg he finds in the incubator. Breaks his heart to tell him no. Now this spring when I have the chickens I want, he can set every egg he gets, but I have enough mutts right now!

when we got our chicks my 5 year old said "chickens go to school?" so I took a picture of him with the chickens and that made him happy, he still has it. He just didnt understand 'gentle' and would definitely have hurt them. So cute they love them so much.

My brother's midgets were over here this weekend playing with the babies. They were scared of the button quail babies but loved to play with the coturnix chicks. The rule is, they can only hold the babies if someone's with them, watching them. Otherwise, it's Quail TV only.

Maybe set up an aquarium as a brooder so the little guy can watch his own Quail TV? It's so cute that he wants to raise his own!

I just real tired of buying those expensive training pants and then before christmas my DH forgot to buy them on the way home. I told my son "Man, just put on some underwear and daddy will get you some later. " A little later fell asleep and woke up still dry. He knows that he cant drink much in the evening and so far sticks with it. Now i just have my Sammy-Lou left. So if the good Lords willing and the creek dont rise ,i will be done with diapering after doing it nonstop since 06/18/01 ,in the summer time.

In Oct when I inbutated 21 eggs and got 6 that hatched, my lovely niece was "helping" while the babies were in the living room because it turned cold here in Bama. She is 2, wanted to play with them one day and tried to catch the with a Spattiggii (sp? ) spoon!! Really lovely to see a 2 year catching your babies in a spoon and could not get them out of the tote brooder they were in!! We still laugh and made it FUN when I wanted to Scream and cry all at the same time!! She turns 3 in a few days and she loves animals except dogs, cute fuzzy border collier comes at her she screams to the top of her lungs, but wants to cuddle the chickens!!! GO figure!!
