I was having computer problems and had my son work on it, ever since the button is erratic. It only works intermittently and never when I really want it to.

My son grabs my computer out of my hands to try to fix things, since he no longer considers me competent to do computer stuff

And now that there's a touch screen, he just reaches over and taps on the screen.

If he keeps it up, he needs to watch out for his fingers....

@KsKingBee , if it's a touch pad problem, just add a wireless mouse and don't fool with the stupid button. If it's a mouse problem, it's cheaper to just get a new one. Unless it just needs a new battery, or there's crud on the wheels -- no, wait, they have little laser lights now, the wheels have been gone for ..... a long time.

Back when I was having problems and I was getting a lot of good info here I ran out of ovations, they said I had reached my limit. Then I read the instruction page and found out haw many you may use in a 24 hour period. You know, when everything else fails read the instructions... ?
