My pretty silkies...

I have 7 roosters and 3 hens. My beginning plan was to rehome my roosters, but I got too attached. I love them all and am prepare to keep them all. They are all so unique and interesting. I love learning how they communicate and I think I’m beginning to understand it. These birds are fascinating and beautiful.

We have lots of predators. I've found evidence already (scat). They aren't getting in. I have the run covered from top to bottom and my silkies are locked in every night. I let the roosters out to free range but only when I'm home and can see them.

I think it's hilarious that they sometimes fight off and on all day long, one minute they're grooming each other, then the other they're trying to kill each other. But at the end of every day they set all their differences aside, climb into one big pile and snuggle.
