I have 7 roosters and 3 hens. My beginning plan was to rehome my roosters, but I got too attached. I love them all and am prepare to keep them all. They are all so unique and interesting. I love learning how they communicate and I think I’m beginning to understand it. These birds are fascinating and beautiful.

Silkies are a very popular breed. Hope you don't have many predators in your area.

We have lots of predators. I've found evidence already (scat). They aren't getting in. I have the run covered from top to bottom and my silkies are locked in every night. I let the roosters out to free range but only when I'm home and can see them.
