My pullet is acting lethargic.

I have a mottled silkie pullet she is about 6 months old and not laying yet. i noticed today as I was doing my chores that she was just sitting down with her neck hunched not really moving. Usually she does that because her crest it too big but she is usually more alert and gets excited to eat. Today she wasn't really too thrilled. I noticed she has some poop around her butt and i think she has some white stuff in her mouth. She is not breathing hard or anything but she is a little slow. I gave her some oats and she was pecking at them

Is there a way to get photos of the white stuff in her beak?

I'd check her over for lice/mites. Give her bum a wash up and check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight.

Hi sorry for the late reply! She usually eats this silkie chick feed from tractor supply called nature wise i believe combined with game feed and oats. I learned that from a silkie breeder. She also gets poultry cell once a week only in her water. I did forget to mention that her poop looks like boogers. I have never dewormed a chicken before
However, I will give her a bath in the morning for sure since her booty is pretty dirty and a haircut lol.

What is the white material in her beak—mucus or?? Is she eating today? You might consider worming her today with SafeGuard liquid goat wormer 10% fenbendazole 0.23 ml per pound of weight given orally for 5 straight days, and starting some Corid in her water in case of possible coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid Corid per gallon of water for 5 days. She could alao be having some sort of reproductive disorder.

Great advice above that I would follow with mine.

I will add a suggestion to get her on probiotics a couple of times a week. That will help with the poop on her butt, and if, per chance, that's yeast in her beak, that'd help that too.

There are probiotic powders for their water, but I just recently bought Kalmbach's Lifeguard probiotic granules, and that's a game-changer for me! I just sprinkle some in their food a couple of times a week to boost the amount of probiotics they're already getting from their feed.

I have one, 3 years old, that nothing helps him as he's always had a messy butt, so I use a kitchen scissors and cut below the vent so it stops sticking to feathers.

I will try that out and get some Corid at tractor supply asap. She hasn't laid yet so idk if she can still have reproductive issues if she hasn't laid but idk anything in that area.Let me get you that photo rn
Update: Actually, now that I look inside her beak it isn't there anymore. At first, I was worried she had wet pox but she i breathing fine and then I looked today it was gone.
