MY PULLET IS CROWING?

its not. she is not crowing. she just made some weird vocalization.

PLEASE post a picture in the breed/gender area!!! Lots of people can help. I find that Easter Eggers are pretty straight forward in figuring out gender. Color, comb... feathers..

i found this out as well my hen is a def rooster!!

now i have to figure out what to do or if its even ok to have in my neighborhood.

Not really sure what a deaf rooster. is. Do you mean that he does not crow. Or only does not hear noises. If he doesn't crow, then no one will know you have a roo. If the sheriff comes to take him away, tell the officer friendly that he is a copon.

Sorry I just cracked up!! I meant that I defiantly "def" have a rooster not a hen like I thought and was told I did. LOL

We were given 4 chicks at 3 days old on Easter and ended up with two surviving hens. More recently to find out that one of my hens is a rooster.

Now were not wanting to open a can of worms asking if we are allowed to have a rooster in our neighborhood we might just keep it until we find out otherwise. I just dont want someone complaining.

Cockerel. The lack of wattles is due to the bird having beard/muff.
