My pullet just ate one of my earrings!! Help!!

My Easter Egger pullet had jumped up on my shoulder and proceeded to pull one of my stud earrings out and swallow it. I am don't care about the earring I am worried that she will be hurt. Has anyone had this happen before??? She is my favorite and I don't want her to be hurt.

i have heard of a chicken eating a diamond and pearl earring. They isolated the chicken and went through her poop. The chicken digested the post but the diamond came out. She should be fine you can isolate her but she may be able to digest it

Okay thanks. It's a gold earrings so I don't know if she can. I will isolate her tonight to make sure she is ok.

I had a pullet eat my gold post earring last year, never found it (or looked for it) but hen has always been fine.

I had my favorite chicken 'Apples' that ate a horse shoe nail....All my other chickens went crazy thinking it was a bug. =P

Yikes.. a horse shoe nail...I didn't know they would/could eat stuff like that??????
