My pullet swallowed a long heavy thread!

Ah. I never saw that show, so, sorry if I didn't get the joke! :rolleyes:
It was just an itty bitty piece she ate, but it still concerned me. She's my favorite of my five. The others could care less about me. :smackBut I try to hug them anyway. ;)
 
So far, she seems to be fine. I don’t know how long it takes for them to pass something. This is one that actually likes to be held so she’s a bit special.
 
I think she will be ok. She’s pooping, eating and seems normal. I really appreciate everyone’s concern and advice. If she does have issues, I’ll let you know, but if you don’t hear from me, it means she is fine!
 
I've had one eat ground glass and live. My amateur necropsy showed a little screw in one, but I think the death was from something else. Styrofoam is popcorn to chickens, so I try to never leave that around. I used to use venetian blind scraps for potted plant markers, but one chicken thinks those are potato chips. String might be more likely to digest than those things, although, if long, I guess it could wrap around organs.
