  1. I'm sorry too, but everything in life, (good or bad) Is a learning experience. And I just noticed that if I hold her in my hand and rub under her chest, she breathes a little easier.
  2. I just can't get her to eat. or open her eyes.
:hugs

Pullet update: She''s still alive. I just gave her honey water. She seems to be breathing better,
but her eyes stay shut. She can stand and even walk. She laid on a heating pad. Was a long night! I still find it hard to believe, that she made it thru the night?? She's a brave little bird!! bye for now.

Are her eyes crusted shut?

Actually KIKI, they don't look crusted shut. I'm holding her right now. They don't look swollen like the lab asked me to look for either. A little later, I am going to try and gently flush her eyes out.

If this little one survives, I'm going to build a permanent hospital coop, for any questionable birds that may have illnesses, and I will name her "JESS" :Meaning: Jesus and Eggman honey
Surely Saved me! J.E.S.S. But for now, I have the other of the two new pullets separated in a large dog kennel. And the very sick one In the house, with me! "Aviary" one else, is out in the large coop and run, happy as clams.:D

My BYC family: As of now, my little pullet isn't good. Bad virus, and today, scratched her eye with her clawed foot. And keeps scratching it, opening the wound again and again. She's still drinking honey water, but not eating, and her congestion is getting worse as well. I have never seen any animal, so determined to stay alive, under such degrading circumstances! :hit
