My pup just fell in the pool!

This is actually a great idea, GoatWalker! My sister lost one of her little Yorkie's a few years ago when it fell in their pool. She now puts the little life jackets on her two York's before they go out now. I'm so glad you and your dad were able to save her.

Love the pic, LOL, she's so cute!

Sorry it took so long for me to respond, been away for the holidays!

Yeah DD doesn't like Emma to be shaggy either, we shaved her that next day after she saw that photo. She was too hairy and fuzzy looking! She now has the smooth back and head and the whiskers are just nicer looking now. LOL

their hair grows so derned fast. Glad I own clippers!

There are stairs that you can get for pools to save pets in just such an emergency. http://www.poolpup.com/cgi-bin/Commerce.exe?display=home

My
basset for one cannot swim, they are a very chest heavy breed and those big ears help pull them down. They can struggle enough to get to the side however.

There is also the Skamper Ramp ... another pet-saving device.

IMHO *ANYBODY* with pets and a pool needs one of these types of devices or something similar. Fences and gates dont always work.

Of course, the other option is a pool cover that would support the critters weight and not let them fall in and get surrounded by it.

So glad yer pup is OK!

Peace ...

Don

We do our own grooming, it saves a TON of cash in that department, and we dont hae to worry about how another person treats our dogs.
