My Pup Killed a Chicken, and I was in my night gown!!!

He doesnt attack them because he wants to kill them and eat them. When he is running and they start to run he chases them. He is a boxer from our first litter of puppies. I really dont want to find him a home!! We live on 9 acres, my chickens are completely free range. So are my dogs, they are inside dogs but go out during the day to do their business and such. I am going to hook up one of those running lines from my porch to a tree in our yard so that when I let him out he will be tied. The chickens know better than to just walk around him, I hope. If this doesnt work then he will be going.

dead chicken around neck...maybe works for some dogs. My in-laws tried that. Eventually, when the dead chicken was removed, the dog immediately went and killed another.
