Yeah they dry out quicker in the brooder than the bator... but dont matter either way for me yet.... im at 24 out of 71..... still not 50% hatch rate yet.. :/

I got some more this morning and afternoon... the peeping the shells to start hatching has stopped so far... I could se some small cracks in another two or so like they wanted to peep out but they havent donr anything all day...

Question: with the A&M can you call male or female from the black spot on their head at a day old?

is your humidity up where it should be? with taking them out it might be dropping. i dont know anything about quail as far as male/female.

yeah it is all fine, I add a little more water each time I open it and get them out and pull out empty eggs... Temp and humidity has been holding fine. I got a few more hatch out here at lunch time, I'm getting close to a 50% hatch, but not there yet... The late bloomers still have some time though. I have hopes that a few more will make it out still, if they developed at all there isnt much reason to unless they are dead eggs already. I'm still going to leave the incubator on another day or two though for late bloomers to have a chance, I still have faith lol!

i have been looking for a way to sex the babies and i dont find one. only adults and im not going into that !
