My quail has had this scab for a while!

My quail has had this scab sorta thing for almost a year now and I’ve been worrying about it for some months but I don’t know what to do. I’d assume he would be fully healed by now as he hit his head on top of his cage but the scab is still there! What should I do?

If it's been there a year, then I'd do nothing.
