my quail pen

i just got done with my quail pen and got a few quail in it wondered what everyone would think. its 8ft by 3 ft.

Looks good, the only thing I can see I would suggest would a small door to each side. My birds would hit me in the face if I opened the big ones you have... I like it thou...

yea later on i plan to turn the 2 big doors into 4 small ones but i had to put this togather in one day so didnt get made exactly how i was wanting it to.

also , you might want to add some shingles or tar paper or etc to the roof...that press board/plywood board does not appreciate rain and snow.... i had to replace the roof of 1 of mine due to weather damage...

yea a little worried about that i got the stuff to finish it and some paint to help weather proof it but since i got it built its been raining or cold out hoping it warms up and dries out this weekend. thanks for the info.

i think i sent a total of $20-$30 on the whole pen got mus tthe wood for free and had the most the wire already. and now that i look at the pic i can see how warped some of the wood is. lol

Looks like a quail house to me....free\\cheap=GOOD!
