I just got my order in today. I ordered the mix because I really just wanted some easter eggers and then a few random whatevers and then to sell the rest. I was not tied down to any specific breeds which is why I went this route. Figured since its called a rainbow pullet pack that it would come with EE's. That and the website picture shows green eggs on it. :( Imagine my dissapointment when I opened the box and there are no easter eggers.

I sent an email to Meyer, so I am waiting to hear from them. There was only 3 breeds in the box. 12 of one type, 10 of another, and 3 of another. (nope no true 5 of each type here) 2 of those 3 have died on arrival. Which I know that can happen. I've ordered from Meyer before so this is a little sad to me as I've always had a good variety from them.

I ordered the rainbow pack from McMurray, and in a pack of 15 plus the free exotic I got 10 different breeds (I think). Three EEs (one has since died

). Two Australorps, two buff somethings, a RIR, a red star (I think), a maran

, a speckled Sussex or brown leghorn (we will see), two golden wyandotes, two silver spangled hamburgs, and a white crested black polish. We will see which one ends up being the free exotic roo! Maybe I was just lucky, but my McMurray rainbow layers seems like a great deal so far. I am treating with some antibiotics since that one EE died, and there is some runny stools. Hopefully all the rest will continue to thrive. Sorry that the Meyer pack was less than desired.

I think it just depends on what is left over after they fill the the orders for that day. Are you sure all of those similar looking chicks are actually the same breeds and not just the same colored birds from several different breeds?
