I had a bairds ratsnake once, until it escaped out of its cage and the cats surrounded it. I apparently died of fright Not a mark on it. Weird thing was it happened at night and I woke up thinking there is something wrong and lo and behold the cats had found Samantha. Very pretty snakes.

I am a big fan of black snakes, as well

OP.. your snakes are nice! I like the water snakes, but don't see many here ...could be cuz I don't get out herping as much as I'd like, too..
