A few weeks ago, I rescued these 3 chicks from another chicken owner. They were the only survivors of their hatchling group. I have no idea what breed they are-and I would love your feedback!

They are about 5 weeks old, black with iridescent green feathers, and white zipper lines down their necks, but the bellies are mostly grey. Legs are yellowy-grey, and have 4 toes. Pretty sure one is a roo-the comb and wattles are red and growing! The other two have yellow combs. The yellow combs appear to be single row, but the red one looks almost like it will be a pea comb.

These photos were taken about 10 minutes ago-I hope they are clear enough.

Thanks so much for your time, and your feedback!

They are too young to know for sure, but the fact that they have different types of combs suggests they are mixed breeds. That's not to say they definitely are, though, but give them a few weeks to feather out. By then it should be a little more clear. Also, check the color beneath their feet. Some breeds will have pinkish/white in that area, other breeds will have a yellowish color. That information can help narrow it down, too.

Both the cockerel and the pullet next to him in that second photo appear to have rose combs rather than pea, though I can't see for definite. I'm inclined to agree with @JedJackson that they're likely mixed, possibly mixes of mixes as Rose comb is a dominant gene. They look like they'll mature into nice birds; glad they have a home with you after their rough start.
