Did you add extra ventilation? It gets rather humid here some summer days. I will not have the benefit of shade like you do. It will be beside another shed, so will get shade from that, but not until the afternoon.

There are a bunch of good side holes around the roof area, all 4 corners.
We don't get too humid usually.
I will be adding a Window this year on the Run side of the coop. I just ran out of time last season.

We live in the middle of what used to be a corn/bean field. The only shade comes from the outside buildings.

The resin shed may be too hot then .

I would build a good shed that you can install a fan to blow air OUT during the days when it is really warmout ?
I will most likely cost about that same but take more time to build.

I have a shed IN THE SUN all day, it gets TOO HOT in there. I know it doesn't have any ventilation but Plastic generates way too much heat.

If it wasn't that the coop is in the shade from 10 am till the next morning I would not have built it. I actually wanted it against the house but the sun would hit it all day

I managed to find a fan installed for someone's chicken coop in a resin shed, but now cannot find it. In the summer, they would only be in at night. So, if I installed a fan, more ventilation, and kept the windows open - would it still be an issue? Of course after all of the additions, I might have enough invested to just buy a large coop.

It really isn't all that hard. If you have some friends it would even be faster
I have no friends and if this was my permanent home I would have built a wooden shed.
If you could put together the rubbermaid you could build a shed

I would rethink the plastic sheds tho, and I think others may pop in to give their input too.

Mine do in and out of the coop all day, lay, eat, drink.
not sure what your temps are for the hotest part of the summer but I think way hotter then me.

Look on CL for a old shed ! Some are even free but just need some fixin' !!!

I don't think it would be easier because you don't have to cut and measure the premade shed. Lol
Ugh. This is getting to frustrating!
