My rhode island red, Adrian, has bare patches on her back and her butt.

Ive had chickens molt badly before but im afraid this is something not normal. Does anyone have any ideas about what it could be?

I’m not an expert but it looks like she is just molting. I could be wrong I hope someone can answer your question! @fluffycrow

It does look like she is molting as I am seeing a lot of new pin feathers coming in.

I agree. Keep an eye on it, you don't want it to develop into feather pecking
