My RIR Neelix died a few weeks ago and I'm devastated

Kasia, I am so sorry for your loss, I enjoyed the pictures and the story, as one poster said this would make a great childrens book, What a precious relationship you had with Neelix, bless your heart for the love you gave to him and the love you gave to those poor ducks I am sure you both will be rewarded.

So sorry - just loved the pictures. My favorite is the one where he has his eyes closed and is sleeping on the bed. You gave him the best life he could ever have. Did he leave any "little Neelix's " behind?

Thank you everyone for your kind words. They mean a lot! I already wrote one children's story about a little RIR rooster I found in 2008 crossing a road. He was debeaked, had a broken neck, leg, wings, full of mites, etc. I named him Quasimoto, Que for short. Our vet gave him a week to live, he lived a year and a half and we were devastated when he finally left us this past March. He was severely abused by his first owner and must have escaped.

And speaking of little Neelix's, YES!!! All that week, he was mating our black Cochin, Avatar, and after he died, I took two of her eggs and put them under one of my broody hens and two babies hatched. I'm pretty sure they are his, or at least ONE should be. I named the first one that hatched Neetari, she's a girl. I put together Neelix's name and Avatars.
