Well it finally happened today. The stupid neighbor dog I am always complaining about killed my partridge rock roo and 2 of my white rock hens. I woke up to my girls screaming and ran out there. Stupid dog broke the coop door and was in there going from chicken to chicken torturing and killing them. I am so sad and angry. I am not done with the neighbors, they are going to pay for the damage there dog caused and if I can have there dogs taken away I will. Animal control is always at there house and they never get in trouble so that's probably useless. I can't replace my roo until march and he won't be mature for at least 6 mths. after that. I was so waiting for his first crow. He was my friendliest chicken by far. I am devastated.

They ususally only give them 3 chances to get their dog under control before the take it away. Give it a try

I am so sorry that your poor birds were attacked and killed.

And I am so angry about yet another dog attack on chickens.

You are absolutely right to go after these folks to the fullest extent. The tide will not turn on dog attacks in this world of ours until the people whose care they are in either evolve or feel the pain, and I fear evolution will not happen soon enough.

I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry for you! Everytime I read something like this, I just get that sinking feeling in the bottom of my stomach. It just makes me sick. :aww

What is wrong with neighbors today? I dont think there brains tell them to keep there dogs under control and have them properly chained. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that dogs gets taken away.

My other neighbor who has chickens has been calling animal control on these people for years and I mean years. Everytime they have there dogs taken away they just replace them with new ones. It takes a lot of calls too before they actually loose there dogs. And now that dog has the taste of chicken and will be back I am sure.

The neighbors with the dogs have caught the neighbors with the chickens trash can on fire before for calling animal control.

Can you protect your livestock "shoot the dog if it where to come back?" I know its drastic but if you neighbor also has been coplaining about this its the only way the unresponsible neighbor will listen.

Oh yeah my DH is on gaurd right now. It will be the dog before another of my chickens die.
