My roo is mating my ducks!!!

My buff orpington roo has 3 females (chickens) and gets on them.. but today I noticed he is mating my PEKIN DUCKS!! Where in the world did this come from and is it normal? Do I need to make him stop? I've never seen this before!

It's normal. As long as you don't have a drake mounting hens it's ok.....................just weird

Okay. I'm pretty sure both my ducks are female. They're almost 19 weeks (on Saturday) and no Drake feathers and both quacking..

Seriously, though, as long as he's smaller than them (so he doesn't hurt them) and the ducks don't attack him in annoyance, they should be fine ... a bit confused, perhaps ... but fine!

He's almost full grown I think. I'll see if I can get some pics. I know he's way lighter than they are. He looks big but is maybe 4-5 lbs.

As @AltonaAcres stated, drakes mounting hens is a major issue due to the way the reproductive bits work in both species but a rooster breeding a duck is just wasting calories and possibly having a good time while potentially annoying a duck.

What's even more weird is the duck actually squatted and let him.. haha idk. My animals are all weird. I have a cat that likes to roll around in the mud when it's raining and a dog who sleeps with his face in shoes. Now a roo who mates ducks.
